Jeneta Weltha

Jeneta Weltha died, Monday, June 9, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. She was 79. Memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospice of Johnston. She is survived by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Weltha of Winterset; children, Steve Weltha (Cathy) of Azle, TX, Billy Weltha (Carol) of Patterson, Roger Weltha (Cheryl) of Winterset, Lana Drebes of Hanibal, MO, Lynn Weltha (Holly) of Columbia, MO, Gina Pyse (Rob) of Palmyra, MO and Brenda Graves (Bill) of Philadelphia, Mo; 23 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Weltha. Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, where family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., June 12, 2008 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset, Iowa. Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset, Iowa. Memorial: Jeneta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her generosity of spirit and love endeared her to many people in the communities where she lived and across the globe. Her wonderful wit, humor and kind thoughtfulness will not be easily forgotten. She shared her faith in God by example and with her conversation. She loved her church, her flower gardening and keeping up with politics. Her family is blessed to know that she is probably starting her own little flower patch in heaven right now and will be keeping a close eye on the upcoming presidential election. She will forever be in our hearts.
