Jennifer Hornsby, age 59 of Bouton, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA. A private celebration of her life will be held by her family. Memorials will be given to her family for later designation and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Jennifer Joy Hornsby was born on December 22, 1962, at Des Moines, IA to Duane Eugene and Caroline Gay (McKinney) Workman. She graduated from Perry High School, and then attended La James School of Beauty. She was united in marriage to Russell Dean Hornsby at First Christian Church in Perry on May 28, 1982. She worked for Great Clips in Urbandale until retiring in 2021. Jennifer enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, crocheting, and cooking. She loved her German Shepherd dogs. In death she rejoins her father, Duane Workman, and her mother and father-in-law, Larry, and Julie Hornsby. Left to cherish Jennifers memory are her husband Russell Hornsby, mother Caroline Gay Workman, siblings, Debbie Olson, Perry, IA, and David Workman, Elk Run Heights, IA, and several nieces and nephews.
