Jenny Morey-Connett

Jenny Morey-Connett was born November 14, 1943 in Winterset, Iowa, the daughter of Cloyd and Edna (Baker) Morey. She graduated from Orient-Macksburg High School in 1962 and worked 20 years in hospice home care as a CNA for Mercy Capital. Jenny married George Connett on September 23, 1992. She was a member of Eastern Star of Des Moines. She loved to read and was an avid collector of many things. Jenny enjoyed taking care of people and deeply cherished her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; her paternal grandparents, Francis and Nina Morey; and her maternal grandparents, Rufus and Mary (Warren) Baker. Jenny died Monday, October 15, 2007 peacefully at her home. She was 63. Survivors include her husband, George of Des Moines; her son, Richard McNelly of Des Moines; a daughter, Shawn O’Toole (Todd) of Audubon; a stepson, Ernie Connett of Portland, Oregon; a sister, Sandy Thompson (Dale) of Winterset; a brother, Cloyd Morey, Jr. (Karen) of Clarinda; and five grandchildren, Frank McNelly, Jennifer O’Toole, Stephanie O’Toole, Vanna O’Toole, and Ty O’Toole. Visitation: 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2007, at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg, Iowa. Service: Memorials may be directed to the family. Memorial: with family 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset, Iowa.
