Jerry Hassemer

Jerry Robert Hassemer was born July 29, 1939 in St Louis, Missouri to Russell R. Hassemer and Rose Marie Hassemer. He passed away at his home in Arvada, Colorado on April 27, 2011. After a tour of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps, he attended Southern Colorado State University and graduated with degrees in chemistry and geology. He was employed as a geochemist for 35 years at U.S. Geological Survey in Denver Colorado. He will be buried in Rippey Cemetery on the 4th of June. Jerry was preceded in death by his father Russell. He is survived by his wife Alice of Arvada, Colorado and his mother Rose Marie McKelvey Hassemer of Perry, Iowa. Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of local arrangements.
