Jesus Arreola-Rodriguez

A service for Jesus Arreola-Rodriguez was held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation was after 9:00 a.m. with family present from 3:00 till 6:00 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Father Paul Nguyen of St. Patrick Catholic Church provided words of comfort. Casket bearers were: Carlos Arreola, Rojelio Gonzalez, Samuel Arreola, Arturo Arreola, Jose Gonzalez and Frederico Martinez. Jan Pattee was the musician. Burial will take place in Canatlan, Durango, Mexico. Jesus Arreola-Rodriguez, son of Nicolas Arreola and Teresa Rodriguez, was born on May 2, 1966 in Canatlan, Durango Mexico and died August 31, 2013 in Perry, Iowa at the age of 47. Jesus went to school in Mexico. Jesus married Leticia Gonzalez 30 years ago and they were blessed with three children: Karina, Edgar Ivan, and Joana. In 1988 he came to the United States to live in California where Jesus worked in the fields. The family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa and lived there for 4 years, then in Perry, Iowa for the last 15 years. Jesus was a family man always putting his family first. He was also a very hard worker. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, gardening, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. Jesus was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was a very caring and loving person who always tried to help family and friends. Jesus is preceded in death by his mother Teresa and his son Edgar Ivan Arreola. Jesus is survived by his father Nicolas Arreola of Canatlan, Durango Mexico; wife Leticia of Perry; daughters Karina Arreola and Joana Arreola both of Perry; four grandchildren: Antonio, Jesus, Junior and Aubree; brothers Camilo, Carlos, Arturo and Nicolas Jr.; sisters Cuca and Alejandra; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Jes&uacutes fueron a la escuela en Mxico. Jes&uacutes se cas con Leticia Gonzlez 30 aos atrs y fueron bendecidos con tres hijos: Karina, Edgar Ivan y Joana. En 1988 lleg a Estados Unidos a vivir a California donde Jes&uacutes trabajaban en los campos. La familia se mud a Marshalltown, Iowa y vivi all durante 4 aos, luego en Perry, Iowa durante los &uacuteltimos 15 aos. Jes&uacutes era un hombre de familia siempre poniendo su familia primero. Tambin era muy trabajador. Disfrutaba de pesca, barbacoa, jardinera y sobre todo pasar tiempo con sus nietos y familia. Jes&uacutes era un miembro de la iglesia catlica de St. Patrick. Era una persona muy carioso y amorosa que siempre trat de ayudar a familiares y amigos. Jes&uacutes est precedido en la muerte de su madre Teresa y su hijo Edgar Ivan Arreola. Jes&uacutes es sobrevivido por su padre Nicolas Arreola de Canatln, Durango, Mxico; esposa Leticia de Perry; sus hijas Karina Arreola y Joana Arreola ambos de Perry; cuatro nietos: Antonio, Jes&uacutes, Junior y Aubree; hermanos Camilo, Carlos, Arturo y Nicolas Jr.; hermanas Cuca y Alejandra; varias tas, tos, sobrinos y sobrinas; otros familiares y muchos amigos. www.hastingsfh.com
