Jim Lyons

Jim Lyons son of Harry Lyons and Wyona Kennett-Lyons was born on February 26, 1934 and went to be with his Lord December 12, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 73 years, 9 months, and 16 days old. Jim was born in Bristol Township, Greene County, IA. While he was growing up he lived in various places including Coon Rapids, and Jefferson. Jim married Le Anna (Lee) Andrews-Collins on December 15, 1990. He farmed and worked in heavy and residential construction for residential and commercial construction. Jim enjoyed working with his horses, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family, and was always tinkering or building something. Jim was a member of the Greene County Saddle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Lyons; and father-in-law, Clyde Andrews. Jim is survived by his wife, Lee of Grand Junction, IA; sons, Jerry Lyons of Coon Rapids, IA, and Jeff Lyons (David Levison) of Petaluma, CA; daughters, Terri Lyons of Coon Rapids, IA, Jacque Lyons of Glidden, IA, and Jessica Collins of Camanche, IA; grandchildren, McKenze Olesen (Jerry) of Coon Rapids, IA, Chris Lyons (Kira) of Carroll, IA, Michael Schultz of Glidden, IA, and Jessica Schultz of Glidden, IA., Brittney Peterson and Shelby Lyons both of Locust Grove, GA.; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Lyons of Carroll, IA.; brothers, Arnie Lyons (Linda) of Coon Rapids, IA, Paul Lyons of Dedham, IA, Bud Hanen (Carol) of Chino, AZ, Richard Hanen (Hedy) of Chino, AZ, and Jerry Hanen (Janet) of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Jan Dahl(Tom) of Coon Rapids, IA., and Karen Jacobsen (Ron) of Coon Rapids, IA; step-mom, Clara Lyons of Coon Rapids; Mother-In-Law, Lorraine Andrews of Clinton, IA; and Sister-In-Law Laura Heller(Wayne) of Clinton, IA; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
