JoAnn Lingner, daughter of Vern Wigfield and Merle Opal Neel Wigfield, was born August 15th, 1935 in St. James Minnesota and died July 20th,2021 at her home in Perry, IA surrounded by family. JoAnn and her family lived in Carver Minnesota before moving to Perry in 1948. She graduated from Perry High School in 1954. JoAnn met Robert Lingner Sr. and the two were united in marriage on October 5th 1954 in Adel, Iowa. The couple was blessed with four children Cheryl, Robert Jr., Jolene, and Mary. The family lived in Perry, JoAnn was a babysitter for many years and in 1983 started working for Dallas County Home Care as an Aide retired after 17 years. JoAnn loved her family, when the kids were young, she would attend all ball games and activities. Loved spending time with the great grandkids. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents Vern and Merle Wigfied, husband Robert Lingner Sr. (2009), Daughter Cheryl Denise (1957), Son Robert Jr. (2011) grandson Darin Lingner, brothers Howard, Larry and Donald Wigfield, sister-in-law Anita Wigfield. Nephews Greg and Tony Wigfield, parents in law Herbert and Iona Lingner, and several aunts and uncles. JoAnn is survived by her daughters Mary Lingner of Bouton and Jolene Galvan (Ciso) of Perry. Grandchildren Brandi Valdez (Vicente), Nicholas Lingner, Shannon Olson (Derrick), Christopher Wright, Robert Galvan, and Shawnda Salisbury. Great-grandchildren Selena Garcia (Jose Rodriguez), Denise Mejia(Octavio Medina), Brandon Mejia, Maria Valdez, Damian Valdez, Madison, Maycee, and Bryce Olson, Tayra and Opal Lingner, Abigail Galvan, Tyler Fessler, Thadeus Atkinson, and Laila and Liam Helgeland. Brother Vern Wigfield (Rita) of Eden Prairie, MN; sister-in-law Bonnie Wigfield of Norwood, MN. Brothers-in-law Bill Lingner (Helen) of Detroit, MI and Jim Lingner (Alberta) of Kansas. Sisters-in-law Karen Handsaker and Fern Waldo both of Kansas, Betty Palmer and Judy Sinclair-Lankford. Becky Walton and family of Ames, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
