Joan Marie Huse

Joan Marie Huse passed away unexpectedly on May 1st, 2018. Joan was born on May 24th, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa to Lewis and Dora Ward. Joan grew up in Des Moines and married George Grant Huse on December 19th, 1980 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is survived by her brother Michael (Loretta) Ward of Muscatine, Iowa; her son Greg Huse of Des Moines, Iowa; and daughters Joy (Brett) Moore of Denver, Colorado; and Andrea (Brandon) Geier of Ankeny, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Joan spent her working years self-employed as an owner of a thriving cleaning business. Joan thoroughly enjoyed working for her clients and was very proud of her accomplishments at retirement. Joan enjoyed the outdoors especially camping, boating and fishing. She loved her dogs, Carl and Carmen and loved to give them treats. She was an avid decorator and enjoyed crafts and buying knick knacks. A small service and celebration of life will occur on May 10th, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at First Christian Church, 2500 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311.
