Jodi (Toppin) Parker, 46, of Orient died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 27 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 26 at the funeral home, with family present to receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to an organization in support of breast cancer awareness. Jodi Lynn Toppin was born November 21, 1967 in Sheboygan, WI and graduated from East Union High School in 1986. She went on to attend college at Marshalltown Community College and DMACC where she studied nursing and forensic pathology. Jodi eventually became an LPN and worked at The Village at Legacy Pointe in Waukee, Westbridge in Winterset and most recently at the Winterset Care Center North. She enjoyed sewing and time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her father, Jerry (Carol) Stutzman of St. Paul, MN; her children, Riley (Amanda) Pearson of Orient, Levi (Elizabeth) Pearson of Des Moines, Matisen Parker and Garhet Parker both of Burnsville, MN, Kalub (Marriah) Benge of Lorimor, Austin Benge of Orient, Colton Benge of Waukee; brother Jeff Toppin of Waukee; two grandchildren, Addison and Abriana Benge; and fiancée, Chad Benge. Jodi was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Stutzman.
