John Alden Mchenry

John McHenry, age 86 of Des Moines, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Edencrest at Beaverdale in Des Moines. A graveside service will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. John Alden McHenry was born on July 12, 1936, at Perry, Iowa to Ralph and Edith Wynette (Morrison) McHenry. He graduated from the Washington Township near Minburn, IA with the class of 1954. He later attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He served in the United States Air National Guard and the Air Force. John helped farm and later worked for National State Bank in Boulder, Colorado. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Boulder. John loved playing and watching baseball. In death he rejoins his parents, Ralph and Edith McHenry. Left to cherish Johns memory are his cousin, Larry Morrison, Janelle Smith, Beverly Morrison, and Phyllis Morrison.
