John Chambers passed away peacefully at his home on October 7, 2023. Services will be held at St. Augustin’s Catholic Church at 10:30 am on Friday, October 27, 2023. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. John was a graduate of Loras College and retired from his real estate consulting service.
John enjoyed traveling through Iowa’s country roads to see what his beautiful state had to offer. He loved spending summers at his family’s cottage on West Lake Okoboji fishing, swimming and scuba diving. It was not uncommon for John and his father Jim Chambers to explore every bay and cove in the Great Lakes region for hours at a time.
John is survived by his brothers, Bob, Tom (Carole), Mark (Ann Wolf); nieces Jennifer (Jason) Schiller, Julia Blanchard, Beth (Scott) Handeland, Heather Johnson; nephew Ben (Krystal) Chambers; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
