Jonathan Lloyd Bennett

Jonathan Lloyd Bennett, known to most as Jon, was born on October 7, 1965 to Michael J. and Mary Bennett. Jon passed away peacefully in his sleep at the young age of 56, next to the love of his life. He married his soul mate, Elizabeth, on August 27, 1990 and the two of them made and lived a beautiful life together for over 32 years, where he could often be found behind the wheel of a big rig. He was a big brother to Lisa, an exemplary dad to 6 children, Michael, Jennie, Jonathan Jacob, Alysia, Zach, and Chris, and he had 13 grandchildren to be proud of every day. As a wild youth who grew into a steadfast man, he made the most out of even the dullest of moments. Jon struggled with heart problems his whole life, but he loved and worked harder than anyone. He was a great friend to everyone he met, and he was always willing to be your alibi if you needed one. He was a very caring and quietly loving father, ever proud of his children and friends no matter what they were doing. Jon was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Bennett Jr, and Marvin Bennett, his son Jonathan Jacob, his father Michael J. Bennett, and his father-in-law Duane L. Fritz.

Funeral Service for Jon will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Caldwell Parrish Funeral & Crematory in Urbandale. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday. Burial will be held in Vandalia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
