Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of arrangements for Josefina Stevens, 73, of Jefferson . Josefina died January 13, 2021 at Unity Point Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside funeral services will be on Thursday January 21 at the Guthrie Center Cemetery at 11:30. Josefina Daugdaug Stevens, daughter of Leoncio Daugdaug and Gaudencia Villaflor, was born December 30, 1947 in the Philippines and died January 13, 2021 at Unity Point Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 73. Josefina grew up in the Philippines and worked as a teacher. On April 14, 1974 Josefina and Ronald Lee Stevens were united in marriage. One year later she moved to the United States and lived in Jefferson, Iowa. Josefina enjoyed spending time with her friends, gambling, and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Filipino American Association and the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson. Josefina was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Valerie and sister Pilar Albeos. She is survived by her husband Ronald Lee Stevens; daughter Vanessa Stevens (Timothy Nelson); grandchildren: Kimora Stevens-Smith, Jaxon Nelson, and Giovanni Nelson; sister Consorcia Indig of the Philippines; brothers-in-law Kerry Stevens of Boone, Iowa and Rick Stevens (Peggy) of Indianola, Iowa; sister-in-law Melodee Powers (Jay) of Tualatin, Oregon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 1.
