Josh Reed, 26, of West Des Moines died Sunday, July 1, 2018 in Guthrie County. Services for Josh will be private by invitation from the family. Joshua Blake Reed, son of Peggy Garner and Darrell Reed was born November 19, 1991 in Polk County, Iowa. He attended schools in the Winterset area and graduated from Winterset High in 2010. Josh most recently worked for Artisan Floral. Josh was a very creative and artistic young man who had a talent for drawing. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music and watching movies and TV shows: The Walking Dead, Monk and Aqua Teen Hunger Force being some of his favorites. Josh had an incredible sweet tooth and especially enjoyed Casey’s Donuts. He was an intellectual who liked to have deep and meaningful conversations. Josh loved being an uncle and cherished his special relationship with his grandmother, Phyllis Welcher. All this said, Josh was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. Josh is survived by his mother, Peggy Garner of West Des Moines; father, Darrell Reed of Osceola; siblings, Amy (Ben) Reyes of St. Charles; Stacey (Dennis) Lyman of Bondurant; Andy (Melissa) Keller of Murray; Tiffany Bradley of Truro; Jordan Reed of Indianola; Steve (Becky) Reed of Adel; Jackie (Jesse) Vrough of Knoxville; William Reed of Des Moines; Ron Reed of Des Moines; special friend, Eliza whom he affectionately referred to as “Baby Girl”; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Tyler Bradley.
