.A Funeral Service for Judith Watson Senty was held 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Greenbrier United Methodist Church in Bagley, Iowa. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Charles Thompson of the Greenbrier United Methodist Church provided words of comfort, sister Janice Strawn and Jeff Cicci added personal tributes, . Casket bearers were: Steven Strawn, Bruce Strawn, Kirk Strawn, Erik Strawn, Donald Badger and Dennis Bryan. Lula Garnes was the organist and Gary Haupert was the soloist. Hymns chosen were: One Day At A Time, How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. Interment took place at Greenbrier Township Cemetery in Greene County, Iowa. Judith Carol Senty, daughter of Fred and Roberta "Maxine" (Bryan) Watson, was born May 5, 1942 in Jefferson, Iowa and died May 8, 2015 at her home in New Hope, Minnesota at the age of 73. Judith grew up on a farm in Greenbrier Township, Greene County, Iowa. She attended school in Bayard, Iowa where she graduated in 1960. Judith attended the Commercial Extension of Commerce in Omaha, Nebraska; obtaining her secretary certification. She worked at ISU starting in the Sports Information Department and then held other positions at ISU. She later worked at the City of Ames in the Public Works and Electrical Department. She was a legal secretary in Ames, Des Moines, and Story County in Nevada. She also was an Avon sales lady. Judith loved her family and being a mother. Friends were special to her. She loved music and dancing was a favorite activity. Other passions included camping and fishing. Judith is preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Laura Lee Messersmith; infant son David Paul Messersmith; and brother-in-law Dudley Strawn. She is survived by her husband Peter Senty; 3 children, Jeff Cicci and Chris Cicci both of Burlington, KY and Liliana Messersmith of Jefferson City, MO; brother Carl (Susan) Watson of Gilbert, IA; sister Janice Strawn of Jefferson, IA; sister-in-law Marion Tumulty; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorials in her name may be sent to Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson.
