Judy Jorgensen of Earlham, died Friday, May 6, 2016 at Community Care Center in Stuart. She was 72. A visitation with family present will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11 at Ochiltree Funeral Service, where a graveside service will immediately follow in the Winterset Cemetery at 6:00 p.m. Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at Ochiltree’s. Memorials to Community Care Center’s Activity fund will be appreciated and online condolences may be left for the family at ochiltree.com. Judith Kay Franklin was born February 24, 1944, in Des Moines, to Ivan and Phyllis (Boger) Franklin. Her marriage to Keith Franklin Jorgensen took place at Princeton, MO on September 18, 1960 and the couple celebrated 55 years of marriage Judy was not one to join organization but loved to read and cherished time with her family. Raising four boys kept Judy very busy, especially when Keith was away from home as a trucker. When her boys were raised, Judy worked for many years outside the home as a Nurse’s Aide. She worked for many years at Fountain West Nursing Home in West Des Moines, where she was eventually promoted to the position of Ward Clerk. She also worked at care centers in Earlham and Adel and for ten years was employed by Reames Frozen Noodles in Clive and R & D engineering in Earlham. She is survived by her husband, Keith Jorgensen of Earlham, four children, Chris (Debbie) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA, James (Cheryl) Jorgensen of Lorimor, IA, Tony (Sandra) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA and Scooter (Angie) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA; three siblings, Bill (Roxie) Franklin, Pat Franklin, Pam Ogg (John Moon) all of Des Moines, a sister-in-law, Pat Franklin of Omaha, NE; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan & Phyllis Franklin, brother, Bunk Franklin and grandson, Justin Jorgensen.
