Kathern Loylene Fagen

Kathern Loylene Fagen, daughter of Roy Curry and Carrie Mitchell Curry, was born September 5, 1923 in Perry, Iowa, and died January 20, 2007 at her home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 15 days. Kathern grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry High School. She married Clifford Fagen on August 9, 1941, at Lancaster, Missouri. They were parents of five children: Connie, Carene, Clifford Jr., Donald and Charlene. Kathern was a bus driver for the Perry Schools for a time before going to work at Woodward State Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting; making afghans, working crossword puzzles, gardening and taking car rides with Donnie. Preceding her in death were her parents: two daughters, Charlene Fagen on January 3, 1986; Connie Shiery on April 15, 1998; husband Cliff on July 8, 2002; two brothers Roy and Eugene Curry; and sister Fern Johns. Kathern is survived by one daughter Carene Sweet and husband Kerry of Bethany, Louisiana; two sons Clifford Fagen Jr. and wife Lorali of Perry; Donald Fagen and wife Debbie of Bagley, Iowa; one brother Chuck Curry and wife Nedra of Chico, California; 9 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
