Kathleen (Lawless) Gray

Kathleen (Lawless) Gray was born September 17, 1956 to James and Mary Belle (McPherson) Lawless in Des Moines. She graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1974. Kathleen was a lifelong member of Saint Theresas Catholic Church where she was very active, especially with the church ladies. Kathleen worked at Dahls as a floral designer. She was the most creative, talented and caring person. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandsons. She never missed a chance to celebrate every holiday, Halloween being her favorite. Kathleen loved her work as a floral designer at Dahls. It was the perfect creative outlet for her. Kathleen passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Saint Theresas Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. with a Rosary service following on Sunday, January 11 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jayme (Chad) Millhollin; son, Ryan Gray; grandsons, Maxwell and Jackson; parents, Jim and Mary Belle Lawless; sisters, Maureen (Mike) Spellman, Martha Lawless; brothers, Michael (Marcie) Lawless, Kerry (Glenna) Lawless and Dan (Peggy) Lawless and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorial contributions may be given to Saint Theresas Foundation.
