Kathryn Seward 'Kay' - Winterset

Kathryn "Kay" Seward, 74, of Winterset, Iowa, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence in Winterset, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the Peru United Methodist Church in Peru, Iowa with Pastor Brandon Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery. Kay was born on January 27, 1941, at Winterset, Iowa to Frank and Melba (Murray) Davis. She was married on July 3, 1959 at Winterset, Iowa to Harold Seward. Kay had been a lifetime resident of Madison County and had been a secretary for a magazine sales company before her retirement. She had been an avid bowler and was a 1959 graduate of Winterset High School. Kay is survived by her husband, Harold Seward of Winterset; son, Bobby (Nikki) Seward of Winterset; brother, Dennis Davis of Springfield, MO; and step grandchildren, Jake and Jackson Bakerink. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Melba (Murray) Davis. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 8 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials given to the family will be directed to the Peru United Methodist Church.
