Family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2010, at the First Christian Church, Winterset, Iowa. Burial: McDonald-Chase Cemetery, Madison County, Iowa. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Ochiltree Funeral Service from Noon to 6:00 p.m. where family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Winterset at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Madison County. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family in Kaye’s name. Sharon Kaye Callison was born September 5, 1941 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Gladys (Hirst) Callison. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1960 and later attended college at Cornell, the University of Iowa and graduated from Drake University in 1965 with a degree in pharmacy. Kaye’s marriage to James Hochstetler took place on June 20, 1965 at the First Christian Church in Winterset, Iowa. Kaye worked as a pharmacist in Ames, West Union and Manchester until settling in Winterset where she worked at Jackson, Montross and Pamida Pharmacies as well as other pharmacies in the area throughout her career. She was a member of the First Christian Church as well as the Order of the Eastern Star. Kaye enjoyed volunteering as a 4-H leader, Bible & Sunday School teacher and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim of Winterset; her two children, James “Russell” Hochstetler and his wife, Janis of Winterset; Susan Aman and her husband, Ahsan of Iowa City; grandsons, Tristan and Deven Aman of Iowa City; Moses Hochstetler of Winterset; a brother, Ken Callison of Winterset; a brother-in-law, Chuck Hochstetler and wife Karen of Winterset; a sister-in-law, Betty Hochstetler and husband Jim Gogerty of Des Moines and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Paul Hochstetler, Lelah and Kenny Luckinbill.
