May 10, 1939 — September 18, 2015

Keith B. Joslyn, 76, of Des Moines, Iowa, ended his battle with kidney failure on Friday, September 18, 2015. He was surrounded by family and people who loved him, in hospice at Ramsey Village. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 22, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where a prayer service will begin at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 23 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Beaverdale. Keith was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 10, 1939. He met and married the love of his life, Mary, in Long Island, New York, eventually making his home with her for 36 years in northeast Tennessee, where he worked as a parts manager in the automotive industry. Keiths second love was his Church, where he served as a parish council member, youth minister, an extraordinary minister of communion, and lector over many years. He cherished playing with his grandchildren, making people laugh, relaxing at the beach with Mary, and was an avid fan of the New York Giants. He was a man who spread sunshine and peace wherever he went, reflecting the love he felt for and from Christ. He became a resident of Des Moines in 2013, and made his home at Ramsey Village in 2014. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary; three children: Melissa Lowe (Randy), Kristine Taff (Adrian), and Michelle Helm (Marc); eight grandchildren: Jason VanDyke, Stephanie Lowe, Hannah Nichols, Briana Lowe, Hazel Helm, Harrison Taff, Violet Helm, and Sophia Taff; one great grand-daughter: Haley VanDyke; two brothers: Bruce Joslyn and Allen Emerson Joslyn; two sisters: Clare Kehrer and Leslie Cahill.
