Keith Jorgensen of Earlham, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at home. He was 80. A visitation with family present will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, at Ochiltree Funeral Service, Winterset. Graveside services with military honors will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 11 in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials to the family will be appreciated. Keith Franklin Jorgensen was born October 28, 1936 in Dexter, Iowa, to Frank and Essie (Harrison) Jorgensen. He attended school in Winterset as well as the Pillsbury Military Academy in Owatonna, MN. Keith proudly served his country having been enlisted in the United States Navy. His marriage to Judith Kay Franklin took place at Princeton, MO on September 18, 1960 and the couple celebrated 55 years of marriage. Keith was a truck driver during all of his working years, having owned and operated Keith Jorgensen Trucking and working for various companies including… B B & P, Cooper Trucking, Vic Edwards Trucking, TMC, Hunt to name a few. When not driving over the road, Keith enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and his dogs. He also loved mowing and pushing snow. All this said, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved and cherished family, especially time with his sons and grandchildren. He is survived by four sons, Chris (Debbie) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA, James (Cheryl) Jorgensen of Lorimor, IA, Tony (Sandra) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA and Scooter (Angie) Jorgensen of Earlham, IA; two sisters, Betty and Wilma; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judy who died May 6, 2016; grandson, Justin Jorgensen; and great grandson, Matthew Woods.
