Keller (Bud) Cline passed while living in Mesa, Ariz., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011 due to cancer. Bud was born in Winterset in 1928; he was 83 years old. He graduated in 1945 from Winterset High School and married Evelyn Brooker in October, 1947. Bud and Evelyn have two sons, Randy and Jeff Cline. Bud was an Iowa farmer for many years then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to work in retail for 30 years, and completing his career in Fayetteville, Ark., to retire in 1988. Bud is survived by a large, loving family: his wife, Evelyn; his son, Randy (Shelley) of Bend, Ore.; and his son, Jeff of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandsons, Erik (Lacey) and two great-grandchildren of Boise, Idaho, and Ehren (Kari) and two great grand children of Portland, Ore. Also surviving Keller are four sisters: Artis Fenimore of Mitchellville, Beverly Harridge of South Bend, Ind., Marilyn McNamara of Winterset, and Dixie (Bob) Young of Winterset; sister-in-law Jodi Griffith of Winterset; brother-in-law Bob Brooker and his wife Mary Ann of Vista, Calif., and many special nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father and mother, Walter and Anna Cline of Winterset, an infant son Ricky, and four brothers-in-law. Bud’s family would like all gifts and contributions be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley, 777 W. Southern Ave. Suite 301, Building C, Mesa AZ 85210. A celebration of Bud’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Madison County Historical Museum from 1-4 p.m.
