Kenneth Ahrens

Kenny Ahrens, 86, died January 29, 2016 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. Kenny was born in Maysville, Iowa on June 11, 1929 to Herb and Rose Ahrens. He owned Northwest Hardware Store in Davenport, after working there in his younger years. He retired in 1986 and along with his wife Helen, moved to a cabin on Lake Odeesa in Wapello, Iowa. They spent many happy years hunting and fishing together. Recently they have lived at Woodland Creek Assisted Living in Clive, Iowa. Kenny is survived by his wife of 25 years, Helen, children, Vickie (Ross) McDougall, Robert (Emily) Ahrens, and his grandson, Jason McDougoll . He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Margie Rice, and Ruth Tacey, and former wife Marilyn Rauhau. His cremated remains will be buried in Davenport at a later date.
