Kenneth Eugene Glenn, son of Charles Wesley Glenn and Cora Viola Hammarstedt Glenn, was born September 23, 1934 in Grand Junction, Iowa, and died at his home in Perry September 3, 2010 at the age of 75. Kenny, as he was lovingly known, graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1954. On October 1, 1954, he married Shirley Kae Anschutz in Des Moines, Iowa. They were parents of two children, Mary and Ron. Kenny and Shirley lived in Perry, Ogden, Farnhamville, returning to Perry where Kenny worked for Priebes and sons. He retired as custodian at the Perry Junior High after 35 years of service. Kenny was dearly loved by the staff and students and he loved his job. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry and the Elks Lodge. Shirley and Kenny enjoyed square dancing and their winters in Apache Junction, Arizona. For many years they watched Monday night football with Bill and Isabelle Fox. Kenny loved his family very much and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He loved to have fun, enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, hunting, playing pranks, playing cards, playing guitar, country music, western movies, going to the casino, taking in garage sales, and his John Deere riding mower. Kenny felt fortunate to be able to go on fishing trips with his dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Corinne; parents-in-law Don and Edith Anschutz; nephews Terry Anschutz, David Glenn and Brian Anschutz. Kenny is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; son Ron Glenn and his wife Kelly of Perry, IA; three grandchildren Rob Glenn and his wife Becky; Casey Zuniga and her husband Jesse; Amanda Woodard and her husband Joe; great grandchildren Emily, Jesse, Nickol, Alex, and Hunter; his dear brother Bob Glenn and his wife Catherine of Grand Junction, IA; brother-in-law Gary Anschutz and his wife Joyce of Jefferson, IA; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
