Ken was born on May 10, 1958, in Pennsylvania to Kenneth and Gloria Hagan. Throughout his career, he worked as both a truck driver and an IT contractor. He proudly served in the United States Navy for years and was a former member of the Red Oak American Legion.

A devoted family man, Ken cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures like gardening, mowing the lawn, and tinkering outside. Whether it was tending to his garden, maintaining his yard, or working on small projects, he was always happiest when he had something to work on with his hands.

One of his favorite pastimes was attending races with his wife, Bobette. Ken will be remembered not only for his hard work and dedication but also for his warmth, generosity, and love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of those he left behind.

He is survived by his wife, Bobette Hagan of Adel; his son, Kenneth Engert (Karen Henson) of Red Oak; and his stepchildren, Kim Thelen (David Hanysh) of Adel and Kenneth (Nicole) Thelen of Roland. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, Steffi Engert of Bellevue, NE; step-grandchildren, Brian McDermott of Adel, and Addison, Kayla, and Klayden Thelen of Roland; his mother, Gloria Hagan of Erie, Pennsylvania; his sister, Patricia Hagan of Youngstown, Ohio; along with many other relatives and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hagan, and his sisters, Ruthie and Susan.
