Kenneth was born May 25, 1914 in Guthrie County at home. He was the son of Clinten A. and Mable (Fell) Luckinbill. In June of 1940 he married Ermiece Blomquist at the Christian Church in Guthrie Center and to this union two children were born, David and Cheryl. Ermice preceded him in death in 1976. He later married Lelah Hochstetler on January 2, 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ermiece; and 3 brothers, Walter, Harold and Ray Luckinbill. Kenneth was a farmer for 55 years and also worked for the Winterset Light Plant. He was a member the Pitzer Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed wood carving and painting. Survivors include his wife, Lelah Luckinbill of Dexter; a son, David Luckinbill and wife, Mary of Dexter; a daughter, Cheryl Straub and husband, Dennis of Winston Salem, NC; 3 step-children, Jim Hochstetler and wife, Kaye of Winterset; Betty Gogerty and husband, Jim of Des Moines, and Charles Hochstetler and wife, Karen of Winterset; a sister, Vera Neal of Audubon; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, where the family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. August 16, 2005 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday August 17, 2005 at Pitzer Presbyterian Church Memorial: Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
