Kevin Carold Durbin

Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of arrangements for Kevin Durbin, 70, of Jefferson. Kevin died August 18, 2022 at the Greene County Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 at Hastings Funeral Home with family present from 5-7. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 also at the funeral home. Kevin Carold Durbin, son of Lynn Marvin Durbin and Veronice Cleon Raninger Durbin, was born January 5, 1952 in Jefferson, Iowa. Kevin graduated from YJB (Yale, Jamaica, Bagley) High School in 1970. Then Kevin moved to Jefferson. He met Rebecca Beck and the two were united in marriage. They were blessed with four children Bridgett, Janelle, Kim, and Matthew. Kevin was a hard worker. He farmed for most his life, and then worked at Menards. He knew his customers well and they will never forget the many stories he would tell them. Kevin loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle anywhere at any time. He joined the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club on March 27, 2002, and his passion for riding grew. Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, wife Becky Durbin, and nephew Jason "Jake" Durbin. He is survived by his companion of fourteen years Doreen Ramsey of Jefferson; daughters Bridgett Springer of Chesapeake, Janelle Riepma (Eric) of Vancouver, Washington, and Kim Rosedale (Ken) of Arizona; son Matthew Durbin of Jefferson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Don Durbin (Carolyn) of Linden; uncle Gary "Pete" Durbin of Bayard; aunts Carolyn Lanning (Dick), and Deanna Farewalls of Texas; other relatives; and many friends.
