Kevin T. Ray - Adel

Kevin Todd Ray of Adel passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the presence of his family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, with burial at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 at McCalley Funeral Home where family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00 pm. Kevin was born July 1, 1966 in Des Moines and graduated from Urbandale High School in 1984. He moved to Adel in 1989 and became an active member of the Adel community. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman with passion for hunting and fishing. He enjoyed traveling and adventure, which enabled him to touch people's lives from Florida to Alaska. He is known by many of us for his devotion to his family, meticulous work ethic, loyalty to friendships and love for the Frozen Tundra. GO PACK GO! Kevin is survived by his wife, Nicole; son, Lucas; stepdaughter, Emma Yori; granddaughter, Eleanor Dittmer; parents, Jerry Ray (life partner Carol Mahlendorf) and Darlene Boltz Hanes; brother, Tommy Ray; and sister, Tracey Hughes, and nieces and nephews Memorial contributions may be directed to Kevin's family.
