Kristine Christensen - Adel

Kristine Kay Christensen died unexpectedly Friday October 10, 2014 at her home in Adel, Iowa. Kristine was born July 13, 1962 in Denison, Iowa to Arlene (Henningsen) and John Rank and baptized in Galva, Iowa. Kristine grew up on a farm outside of Charter Oak. She was an active member and lifelong supporter of 4-H and FFA. Kristine graduated from Charter Oak-Ute High School in 1980. After graduating she worked in the dental industry for over 25 years and had recently begun working for Lautner Farms. Kristine was a dedicated mother of three, devoted daughter, a true sister, loving grandma, cousin, and aunt. She supported her kids through 4-H, FFA, and any other activity they were involved in. She carried this support over to her grandchildren who were just beginning their 4-H projects. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always there for them. Kristine had many talents such as cake baking, crocheting, canning, numerous crafts, and scrapbooking. She loved Mickey and Minnie Mouse and enjoyed going to Disney World. Kristine also enjoyed spending time with her special friend Tom Murphy. Kristine is survived by her son Brad (Tara) Christensen, daughters Marcy (Dustin) Conover, and Kara Christensen, mother Arlene Rank, brother Brian (Sylvia) Rank, and sister Diana (Dan) Murnan, grandson Russel Christensen, granddaughters; Bailey Christensen, Myia Christensen, Ashton Conover, and Kimber Conover, special friend Tom Murphy, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends. Kristine was preceded in death by her father John Rank, grandparents; Virgil and Edith Rank, and Milroy and Eleanor Henningsen. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday October 15, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa with burial at Crawford Heights Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Tuesday October 14, 2014 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from 4-7 P.M. Visiting hours in Denison will be from 11:00 A.M.
