Krystal Garcia

January 3, 1986 — August 20, 2023

Krystal Garcia was born on January 3, 1986 in San Juan, Texas to Pedro Humberto Garcia and Sonia Imelda (Balderas) Garcia. She was their third child and first daughter. Krystal's two older brothers Pedro "Peter" and Grabiel "Gabe" were very protective of their little sister. Then Alexsandra was born, and Krystal loved having a sister. They moved to Jefferson, Iowa for a little while before moving to Perry. She went to Perry High School where she met Daniel Ramirez and then little DJ was born. Anthony was their second, then Xavier, and then finally a baby girl Serenity. Krystal loved going on adventures anywhere the road would take her. Her favorite place to be was at the lake or the river. Krystal liked to be the one in the group of friends that stood out, especially with her beautiful smile and her dimples on her cheeks. She liked going dancing and singing with family and friends, listening to all types of music, but 80's hairband groups were her favorite. Her children were, and always will be her pride and joy. Even after she was given a cancer diagnosis, she stayed strong, positive, and determined to beat it. She is one of the strongest young women that we've all got to see in our lives. She will never be forgotten. On Sunday morning, August 20, 2023 Krystal's body could not fight any longer. She passed away with her loved ones right by her side. So much more is to say about her, and an obituary just tells you a portion of it. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts & uncles: Servando Garcia, Amalia Garcia, Julian Velasquez, Juan T Garcia, Jayden Quintanilla, Adriana Garcia, and Juan Garcia Jr. Krystal is survived by her parents Sonia and Humberto Garcia of Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico; 4 children: DJ Ramirez, Anthony Ramirez (Vanessa Lopez), Xavier Ramirez, and Serenity Ramirez all of Perry; granddaughter Selena Ramirez; brothers Pedro "Peter" Garcia (Kansana) of Brownsville, Texas and Grabiel "Gabe" Garcia of Nebraska; sister Alexsandra Garcia (Peter Colon) of Perry; extended family Daniel "Danny" Ramirez, Amanda Ramirez Machado, Junior Ramirez, Miguel Ramirez, Carolina Bieghler (DJ), several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and so many friends.
