Larry Alan Nolan

Larry Nolan, age 71 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Eden Acres Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes. A graveside service will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in the spring. Memorials will be given to American Cancer Society and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Larry Alan Nolan was born on July 23, 1951, in Perry, IA to Bernard James and Darlene Elizabeth (Workman) Nolan. He graduated from Perry Community Schools and then went to DMACC in Ankeny, IA. He worked for the railroad as a diesel mechanic, Perry Lutheran Home as maintenance director, and then was a custodian for Perry Community Schools. He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Perry Elks Lodge. Larry enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and golfing. In death he rejoins his parents, Bernard and Darlene Nolan, and a sister Pamela Nolan Thomsen. Left to cherish Larrys memory is his brother, Gordon Nolan.
