It is with profound sadness we announce Larry Julian Castillo departed this life peacefully surrounded by friends and family at 9:12pm the evening of November 6, 2024, at The Good Samaritan Society in Indianola, Iowa, following a courageous journey with dementia.
He is survived by his loving wife and life partner, Julia Castillo; beloved sons, Chris, Julian (Dawson Goodridge) and Fabian (Hayley) Castillo; cherished granddaughters, Alicea (Daniel) Beltran and Hayven; and sister, Gloria (Victor) Quesada. The lives he touched carry forth the legacy of his selfless spirit and boundless compassion. His commitment to the teachings of Christ (and the Oakland Raiders) resonated deeply with all who knew him, a testament to a life and legacy of unwavering faith, love, and humility. There will be a memorial service (also live-streamed) held at New Bridge Church at 1305 W Jefferson St, Winterset, Iowa, on the morning of Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11am.
