Larry Gene Seil, 63, of Winterset, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset, Iowa. A visitation with family present will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 20, at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Lorimor Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family and online condolences can be left at ochiltree.com. Larry Gene Seil was born January 19, 1955 in Lake City, Iowa, the son of Laurence and Evelyn (Ressler) Seil. He graduated from East Union High School in 1974. He worked for a number of years at MFI (Merchandising Frontiers, Inc) and worked 11 years at West Bridge Care & Rehab as a Cook. Larry enjoyed woodworking and doing restorations. He also enjoyed gardening and caring for his flower beds. He was an animal lover and loved his cat, Lacy and dog, Lilie. Larry always had a well-kept home. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with things, and watching old TV shows and movies. Above all else, he was a loyal son, brother, uncle and friend who cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Larry is survived by a sister, Barbara (Gayle “Jake”) Jacobs of Harrison, AR; a sister-in-law, Betty Seil; nieces and nephews, Shane (Jody) Seil, Michaelle (Bryant) Kirton, Jay Scott (Leanna) Jamison, and Curtis (Tootsie) Jamison, Corey (Dayna) Seil, and Amy (AJ) Zak; numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Evelyn; a brother, Ronald Seil; and a brother-in-law, Robert W. Jamison.
