Larry Tracy

Larry Tracy, 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Clive, Iowa at 2:00 a.m., January 1, 2024.

Larry was born in Winterset, Iowa on September 2, 1942 to Raymond and Jeanette Tracy. He married Doris Rudolf on November 19, 1960 and to this union four children were born: Tim, Terry, Tom, and Tami.

Larry retired from Bob Brown Leasing in 2006 after 26 years in car sales and management. He continued to help his sons, Tom and Tim in their auto sales businesses, fully retiring in 2013 to spend more time with his wife, Doris. He enjoyed traveling to St. Louis Cardinal baseball games and NASCAR races in Kansas City. Larry rarely missed an opportunity to attend his grandchildrens’ many sporting events and activities.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Tim (Robbin) Tracy, Terry (Susette) Tracy, Tom (Tori) Tracy and one daughter, Tami (Ryan) Kessler; six grandchildren, Tasha (Curt) Jackson, Tony (Hannah) Tracy, Karissa (Lindsey) Greenwood-Tracy, Sierra (Tyson) Warwick, Nick and Addi Kessler; three step-grandchildren, Bryon (Lindsay) Capouch, Shonna (Brian) Joss, Josh (Megan) Middleton; four great-grandchildren; twelve step great-grandchildren; and one step great, great grandchild.
