Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of arrangements for Laverne Erickson 88, of Boone formerly of Grand Junction, died January 19, 2016 at Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Saturday January 23, 2016 at St Brigid Catholic Church, in Grand Junction. Visitation Friday at St Brigid Catholic Church after 10:00 a.m. with family present from 6:00 until 8:00 with a Vigil Service for the public at 7:00. Laverne is survived by his wife Ima Lee, of Boone, daughter Debbi Strong (Bill) of Washington D.C. four sons Tom (Sandy) Erickson, of Williamsburg, Iowa, John (Tonee) Erickson, of Lincoln, Nebraska, Alan (Dee) Erickson of Denver, Colorado and Gary (Lisa) Erickson, Ames, Iowa, 16 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Laverne also has two brothers, Al (Doris) Erickson, Mesa, Arizona and Ken Erickson of Fairfield, Iowa. Memorial in his name may be sent to Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson
