Lee Nepple of Clive, Iowa passed away on July 13, 2021 from pancreatic cancer. He was born December 20, 1939 in Templeton, Iowa, son of Ed and Sophia Sturm-Nepple. He married Judy Wagner on November 28, 1964 in St. Joe, Iowa. In 1957, Lee graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Templeton, Iowa with distinction: his entire class graduated in the Top 10 of the class. He attended the University of Iowa and graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. Lee was an amateur woodworker and proud of his production of smoke and some of the finest exotic wood sawdust. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Judy; son, Mike Nepple of St. Louis, MO; daughter, Michelle Boris, son-in-law, Nick Boris; favorite granddaughter, Sarah Katherine Lee Boris, all of Georgetown, TX; siblings, Mary Jane Boes of Elgin, NE, Vern (Roe) Nepple of The Villages, FL, Larry (Cindy) Nepple of The Villages, FL, Ray (Marlene) Nepple of Iowa City, IA, Ron (Kathy) Nepple of Clinton, MO, Jerome (Diane) Nepple of Carroll, IA, and Elaine (Leroy) Irlbeck of Manning, IA. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Gene Boes. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Biaggi's Restaurant, 5990 University Avenue, West Des Moines, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boys Town in Omaha, NE (in care of his nephew, Father Steve Boes, President) or EveryStep Hospice, temporarily located at 3000 Easton Blvd., Des Moines, IA. Lee and the family would like to thank Dr. Steven Heddinger and office staff, and the EveryStep hospice staff for the outstanding care they provided Lee along the way.
