Letha Noehren

Letha (Nelson) Noehren, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana died Sunday, October 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 3rd at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with burial to immediately follow in the Lorimor Cemetery, in Lorimor. A visitation with family will be held two hours prior to the funeral from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Letha L. Nelson was born October 31, 1930 in Madison County, Iowa; the daughter of Guy and Lulu (Handley) Nelson. She retired in 1992 as Director of Nursing at the Ft. Wayne Development Center after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary #4177, the American Legion Post 82 Ladies Auxiliary, and Amvets #55. Letha is survived by her daughters, Kristine Momper (Tim), Pamela Kokosa, Dottie Stieber (Matt) and Shari Caldwell all of Ft. Wayne, IN; her sons, Bruce Noehren (Liz) of Omaha, NE and Robert Noehren of Ft. Wayne, IN; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert who died in 2005; two grandchildren, Dawn Noehren-Weakland and Dylan Stieber; a great-granddaughter, Rebekah Goldsberry and a brother, Boyd Nelson.
