Linda Agnus Parker

Linda Parker, age 68, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 31, 2016 at home after a long illness. 
 Linda was born 1948, in Des Moines, to Gus and Martha Martinson. She was a 1966 graduate of North High School and married David in 1981. Linda truly loved and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, laughing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend. She had a wonderful ability to reach people in a positive way and was always thinking of others. She is preceded in death by her father, Gus and son, Justin. 
 Linda leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, David; mother, Martha; daughter, Kim; son-in-law, Bill; grandchildren, Megan and Alexis; great granddaughter, Kiya; sister-in-law Fraya; brothers, Gary and Brian; sisters-in-law, Debra and Melinda; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 At Linda’s request, the family is planning a Celebration of Life for Linda’s family, friends and others whose lives Linda touched. Details of the celebration will be announced at a later date. The family is especially grateful to Dr. Amy Hughes and the entire staff of the John Stoddard Cancer Center who helped give Linda an extra few years of life. The family is also grateful for HCI Care Services who helped care and comfort Linda during the last days of her journey.
