Linda Rinard

Linda Rinard, 58, of Winterset, died January 11, 2012 at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 16th at the First Baptist Church in Winterset. A visitation will be held 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 15th at the Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare, with family present to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Madison Co. Linda Ann Haines was born June 8, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Larry and Shirley (Berry) Haines. Linda, along with her half-sister Toni, was raised by Ray and Alta Miles. Her marriage to Jimmie Rinard took place on September 2, 1972 at the Van Meter Methodist Church. Linda worked at Principal Financial for 30 plus years, and most recently was an administrative assistant, but had worked in various divisions and departments during her tenure. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Linda was not one to join groups but rather chose to spend time with her family. Linda is survived by her husband Jimmie; her three children, David Michael Rinard; Jill Kristine (Jared) Peacock, and Jarod Blake Rinard all of Winterset. She is also survived by a half-sister, Irene “Toni” (Brian) Madsen; several half siblings; five grandchildren, Ashley Marie Rust, Chelsey Ann Rinard, Britni Cheyenne Rinard, Jenna Beth Peacock, and Julia Grace Peacock. She was preceded in death by Alta and Ray Miles.
