Linda Roberts

Linda Roberts, 72, of Winterset, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home.

She was born on September 13, 1950, in Virginia, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Byers) Fellman. Linda married Michael O'Neal in 1971 and later married Jay Roberts in 1988.

Linda attended Mormon Trail High School in Decatur County, Iowa, where she graduated in 1968. She furthered her education at SWCC and went on to work primarily in a factory setting. She was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church of Winterset and found joy being involved in the sewing angels group.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her son David O'Neal, her brother Paul Fellman, and her sister Kathy Patterson.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Matt) Leonard of Winterset; her son Dennis O'Neal of Bethany, MO; her brother, James Fellman of El Paso, TX; her sisters, Teresa (Bruce) Gentry of Garden Grove, Jean Mears of Leon, and Nancy Fisher of Leon. Linda also leaves behind five grandchildren: Jessica, Shyanne, Taylor, Tyler, and Spencer, as well as three great-grandchildren: Ryder, Kamden, and Avalynn.

Linda’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
