Lois Jean (Thompson) Zuber was born on September 10, 1933 to William and Goldie (Bales) Thompson in Carbon, Iowa. She was married to James Russell Zuber on January 15, 1955.
James and Lois lived on the farm and raised their family there. Lois was a stay at home farmwife, helping out where she could with cooking the meals and assisting James.
Lois passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Via Health Services -Fleur Heights Nursing Home in Des Moines, Iowa. She was 89.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stephen of Winterset; sister, Estelle Stockman of Boone; granddaughter, Amy (William) Hackley; and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Michael Hackley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Goldie (Bales) Thompson; husband, James Zuber; son, James Edward; brother, Clifford Thompson; and sister, Lola Mae Hunt.
