Lois Wagner, 86, of Winterset, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 2nd at the First United Presbyterian Church, Winterset with burial to follow in the Winterset Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 1st at Ochiltree Funeral Service, where her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Church and Middle River Hospice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.ochiltree.com. Lois Cunningham was born February 6, 1927 in Patterson, Iowa to Verl C. and Ellen N. (Cellan) Cunningham. She graduated from Patterson High School and later married Harold R. Wagner on September 29, 1946 in Cherokee, Iowa at the Methodist Church. Harold and Lois were married for 54 years prior to his death on June 17, 2000. Lois was a devoted wife and mother raising her four boys. She also worked outside of the home as cook with the Winterset Schools and Madison County Elderly Services. She also sold Avon, worked with the United Grocery Store, Fareway and for 20 years worked at Banks Greenhouse as a floral designer. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset, where she was active in many church actives including Evening Guild, the Evangelism and Care Committee as well as serving as a church Elder on Session. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, serving as treasurer and was a Past Grand Noble. She was also a member of the Good Neighbor Club and volunteered at the Madison County Elderly Services. All this being said, Lois loved nothing more than the joy she received from being with her family. She is survived by four sons, Craig (Jean) Wagner of Winterset; Randy Wagner of Greenfield; Bruce (Deb) Wagner of Winterset; Kirk (Suzanne) Wagner of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren, Mesha, Gabrielle, Rob, Jeff, Mandy, Cody, Ben, Joshua, Andrew, Wade, Amber and Ashlee and 26 great grandchildren, Austin, Dalton, Hunter, Garrett, Morgan, Caitlyn, Jenna, Dylan, Cassandra, Gracie, Levi, Dawson, Mylee, Kaden, Brynn, Libby, Emma, Aidan, Isabelle, Lyla, Collin, Isaiah, Brailynn, Valerie, Miranda and another great grandson due in November; extended family and a host of friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Marjorie Kinard and a great grandson, Joneus Wagner.
