Loren J. Zoet - Adel

Loren Zoet passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 7, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Burial will be 3:00 pm Monday at Newell Cemetery in Newell. Friends may call after Noon Sunday, September 6 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where family will greet friends from 2:00-4:00 pm. Loren was born in O'Brien County, March 11, 1938 to Bert and Pearl Zoet. Loren grew up on a farm with his brothers and sisters. Loren graduated from Sheldon High School. Loren enlisted in the United States Army and serviced as a military police officer. Post service to his country, Loren started a long career with Mid America Pipeline Company. Loren lived with his wife Becky and their children in Storm Lake, Iowa. After retirement they moved to Adel, Iowa. Loren enjoyed walking, reading and studying history. Loren was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Adel. Foremost, he was a dedicated father and devoted grandfather, spending his retirement years attending grandkids activities, playing catch and enjoying story time with them. Loren is survived by his mother, Pearl Zoet, his siblings, children and grandchildren. Today, he is joined in heaven with his loving wife Becky, his father Bert and daughter Jodey.
