Lorrene Bice

Lorrene Bice, age 81 of Perry and formerly of Woodward, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at Adel, IA on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials will be given to the Autism Society of Iowa or Woodward United Methodist Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Ruth "Lorrene" Bice was born on November 17, 1938 at Harcourt, IA to Lawrence H. and Ruth Anna (Danielson) Sandeen. She graduated from Harcourt High School. She was united in marriage to Harry "Bud" Elmer Bice at Harcourt, IA on October 4, 1959. She worked at Park View Manor Care Center in Woodward, IA, the Rowley Masonic Home, and Perry Lutheran Home. She was a member of the Woodward United Methodist Church, Woodward Eastern Star, Woodward American Legion Auxiliary, Perry Elks Club and the Perry Moose Lodge. She enjoyed Bridge Club and attending family and church events. In death she rejoins her husband Bud, parents, Lawrence and Ruth and a grandson, Jacob Graves. Left to cherish Lorrene's memory are her sons, Wayne (Alisha) Bice, Granger, IA and James (Melissa) Bice, Norwalk, IA, daughter, Rochelle (David) Graves, Duluth, GA, grandchildren, Jennifer (Zach) Grizzard and Alyssa, Alex, Lauren, Jocelyn, Jamison and Harrison Bice and a sister, LuAnn (Darold) Huff, Perry, IA.
