Lucile Marie Friedrichsen

Lucile Marie Nagel Friedrichsen was born September 27, 1910 at her childhood home in Wichita, Kansas and died September 27, 2008 at the Perry Lutheran Home at the age of 98 years. She was the second of five children born to Henry John and Marie Anna Moser Nagel. As a youth she helped on the family farm and stayed active in her local 4-H club. After graduating from Wichita East High School, she attended Manhattan College, now Kansas State University. Lucile was a charter member of Clovia House, a girl's dorm founded by the KS 4-H Foundation. Returning to Wichita after school she was a portrait photographer at Jacobs Photo Studio. While working there, a mutual friend introduced her to a handsome gentleman from Ogden, Iowa. On June 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harry Fredrich Friedrichsen. They were together on the family farm until Harrys death in 1994, a marriage that lasted over 42 years. Harry and Lucile loved to travel across the United States visiting family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; brothers, Clayton Nagel and Glenn Semen Nagel; and infant sister, Mary Nagel. Lucile is survived by her sister, Evelyn Fuller of Derby, KS; brother-in-law, Harley Friedrichsen of Perry; nieces, Alice Marie Phillips, Nancy Pedersen, Barbara Carlson, and Noralee Matousek; nephew, John Nagel; other relatives and friends.
