Mabel C. Riley

Mabel Riley, age 82 of Perry, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry, IA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials will be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Mabel C. Riley was born on February 3, 1939, at Chama, CO to Avrianno and Cecelia (Medina) DeHerrera. She was united in marriage to Larry Dean Riley at Ft. Collins, CO on October 13, 1958. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry. In death she rejoins her husband Larry Dean Riley Sr., parents, Avrianno and Cecelia DeHerrera, granddaughter Emily Riley, sisters, Percy Cisneros, Madeline Medina and Lorraine DeHerrera and a brother Evan DeHerrera. Left to cherish Mabels memory are her daughters, Lori (Robert Zagar) Riley, Perry, IA, and Linda Riley, Belton, TX, sons, Larry (Susie) Riley, Perry, IA, Don (Patsy) Riley, Ankeny, IA, and David (Barbara) Riley, Johnston, IA, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters, Terry Reynolds, Colorado Springs, CO, and Rose (Bob) Maestas, Colorado Springs, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.
