Margaret Ann Murray

Margaret Murray age 86 of Urbandale died on April 5, 2021. She was born on December 1, 1934 in What Cheer, IA to Opal & Roy Nilles. She graduated from Ottumwa Heights Academy. Margaret married James Murray on June 2, 1952. She worked for 30 years as an office manager for Hinky Dinky and a Customer Produce Rep at Super Value Corporate. In her free time, Margaret enjoyed reading, knitting, crafts and ceramics, going to garage sales with her best friend Joann, and going to the casino. Margaret is survived by her husband, James Murray; children, Gary (Kim) Murray, Greg (Denise) Murray, Brian (Judy) Murray, David (John McFadden) Murray; siblings, Rita Skupien and Neal Nilles; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and best friend, Joann Frakes. The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Fr. Aquinas Nichols on Friday, April 9, 2021, 12:00 pm at the Basilica of St. John in Des Moines, IA, with a visitation starting at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. A special thanks to the nurses at Mercy Hospice, Fr. Aquinas and Deacon Luke for all their blessings.
