Margie was educated in the Des Moines Public school district where she attended North High School. Margie was joined in marriage to Clarence Williams on June 23rd, 1973. She was employed as a teacher at Eastside Community Daycare Center. Her hobbies included babysitting the saint's children, having fun and cracking jokes. She wasn't afraid to tell it like it was! Margie was baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost and became a member of Christ Apostolic Temple in 1972 under the late Presiding Bishop Jeremiah Reed. She remained a faithful soldier for 47 years, completing her course under Bishop Dwight A. Reed. She had several jobs in the church-choir member, usher board, Helping Hands ministry, Sunday school teacher, and altar worker like no other. Margie worked hard in the church. She worked in the kitchen, delivered dinners, helped Bishop Reed start new churches through outreach and tarrying with souls. She was the assistant head captain, and she helped build 1230 Sampson St. and 1230 East 17th St. edifices. Margie rode with her husband for 20 years picking up saints on the church van. She was one of the loudest "AMEN!" folks to her Pastor! She loved Jesus, her late husband Deacon Williams, her children, her siblings, her Pastors and church family! She was serious about her salvation and had a great love for people. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband (Deacon Clarence Williams), her daughter Audrey Thomas, a granddaughter Michaeya Williams, sisters Gladys Jones and Ella Carr, and a brother, Ronald Thomas. Left to cherish Margie's memories are her sons Michael Thomas and Clarence Williams, Jr., Blake (Schelly) Scott, stepdaughter Clarissa Robinson, a brother William Lee Andrew, sisters Catherine Norfleet and Joanne Edwards, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces and her Christ Apostolic Temple church family. A visitation will be held on Monday July 6th at Christ Apostolic Temple Church at 11:00 AM. A service will follow at 12:00 PM.
