Delp and Cecile Mae Crooks Delp, was born on November 23, 1923 at Grand Junction, Iowa and died September 28, 2013 at the Greene County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit at the age of 89 years. She had looked forward to her 90th birthday. Margarete grew up in the Grand Junction and Jefferson areas. She attended rural school at Jackson #2, transferred to the Jefferson Schools and graduated in 1941 from Jefferson High School. She was very proud to have earned her teaching certificate. On February 21, 1943, she was united in marriage with Donald K. Hall in Jefferson. They were blessed with three children, Donna Marie, Dennis Dale, and David Mark. They made their home south of the airport where they both farmed. Margarete and Don moved a couple of times, but always within a two mile radius! Margarete was indeed a loyal helpmate to Don on the farm. She had a wonderful reputation as a fabulous cook. Her love of her church and the BPOE Does was manifested in her culinary skills and the genuine devotion she always exuded to all lucky enough to work by her side. Margarete loved her family and was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and loved all flowers. Her handwriting was beautiful and yet in later years she enjoyed learning how to type. As a couple, Don and Margarete were content to work on the farm and not venture too far. However, Margarete attended a BPOE Does national conference in Hawaii and she truly enjoyed flying there. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson and the Jefferson BPO Does Chapter. Margarete was preceded in death by her parents Milton and Cecile; her loving husband Donald; sisters Marian Kelley, Alice Delp, Dorothy Williams, Esther Low and Eleanor Little; brothers Leland Delp, Delmar Delp, Jacob Delp and Ronald Delp. Margarete is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Donna Armstrong (Wayne) of Cedar Rapids; two sons, David Hall (Margo) of Iowa City; and Dennis Hall (Janelle) of Jefferson; 5 grandchildren; Todd E.
